australian apprenticeships
An Australian apprenticeship is a combination of practical paid work and structured training that is agreed upon between a trainee and his or her employer in the form of a registered training agreement.
It is possible for students to start an apprenticeship or traineeship before they leave school and to complete their SACE at the same time. Alternatively, you could take up an apprenticeship after you finish school as it is a great way to get current employment with on-the-job training and to improve your qualifications and future career prospects.
Graduates of traineeships and apprenticeships will receive an AQF qualification enabling entry to a range of occupations. The training and skills you gain through a traineeship or apprenticeship can also be built upon by further education, allowing you to advance your career or change occupations.
