This qualification reflects the role of skilled hospitality workers who use a range of well-developed hospitality skills and provide operational advice and support to team members. They may have already completed a Certificate I or II level qualification.

A traineeship is a time spent learning a job (or vocation) under a supervisor. As a trainee, you and an employer have a formal agreement called a training contract for the length of your training. You will learn on the job (on-job) under your supervisor at your place of work, as well as self-paced or in classroom environments (off-job) at HITsa Industry Training where you will complete your nationally recognised qualification.
The Government and your employer may subsidise your off-job training component.
