The Modbury Plaza Hotel operates a busy a la carte dining area as well as offering both cocktail style and sit down functions. The bistro operates 7 days a week with continual service from lunch through to dinner. The hotel prides itself on delivering consistent product offerings that encourages repeat business from our valued guests.

A casual position for approximately 35+ hours per week is available with the opportunity to become full time for the right candidate.

Successful applicants must have:

  • A passion to deliver good quality food in a prompt manner;
  • Previously worked successfully in a busy a la carte kitchen operation;
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery;
  • A Strong work ethic;
  • Flexibility to support the Head Chef over a 7 day roster;
  • The ability to work in a high pressure environment;
  • The ability to manage and motivate the team;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A strong understanding of all food hygiene requirements;
  • Reliable, clean and organised;
  • High standards of work
