CHC50125 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
If you have hands-on experience and qualifications, the door is open for you to progress your Early Childhood career.
Early childhood educators work in long day care centres, family day care, pre-schools or kindergartens. This qualification also offers a pathway to a University.
With CHC50125 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care you can develop the skills and knowledge to lead teams, support children’s development, and take on more responsibility within the sector.
You can enrol if you meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121 or its equivalent successor or CHC30113)
Alternatively, individuals may hold:
- An Australian Diploma in in Early Childhood Education and Care, OR
- An Australian Diploma or Certificate III in Children’s Services AND demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence; OR
- Hold the CHCSS00147 Entry in Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
This course requires a minimum of 280 hours work in a regulated children’s education and care service. For participants currently working in a suitable placement service, these hours can be completed as part of paid employment.
