About the Role:
As an Aged/Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting our participants to live life to the fullest. You will deliver high-quality care within clients’ homes and Western Care Support SIL homes, ensuring their holistic needs are met. In this integrated team position, you will work within an established framework to support clients in achieving choice, control, and independence in all aspects of their lives. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, meal preparation, maintaining the home environment, facilitating community access, and promoting overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
– Support participants in living the life they choose
– Assist with daily activities, meal preparation, and personal care
– Promote independence and empowerment in all aspects of life
– Support clients’ health by managing medication and appointments
– Provide transportation and accompany clients to community activities
– Help clients meet their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs
– Maintain clients’ dignity and independence through personal care
– Follow care plans, document progress, and monitor client assessments
Required Skills and Qualifications:
– Certificate III or IV in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support
– Valid Driver’s License with a registered Vehicle
– Passion for working in the sector with a strong understanding of its dynamics
– Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Familiarity with Active Support principles
– Availability for split shifts
– Ability to treat all clients with respect, dignity, and compassion
– Proficiency in providing Personal Care and Domestic Care
– Adherence to the Western Care Support Core Values

Schedule:
– 24-hour support with Day, Afternoon, and Evening shifts
– Flexible hours and a rotating roster
– Night shifts with Passive or Active night shifts
