Casual Chef

About the role

We are looking for a talented Casual Chef to join our team at The Beach Hotel in Seaford. As a Casual Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This is a casual position, offering flexibility, must be available on Saturday nights,  the role is for lunch & dinner service and functions.  As a casual the role is mainly for around 3-4 shifts per week.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting Chef with running of the kitchen
• Char grill/open flame grilling experience
• Prepping items required daily
• Ensure all meals are presented to a high standard
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Comply with all health and safety regulations
• Assist with organising stock
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar fast-paced environment
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and under pressure
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Food safety and hygiene certification
