Nonna’s Cucina is a not for profit charity organisation providing home-style cooked meals to the aged and vulnerable community in South Australia. We have recently relocated to our new premises at 30 Lyons Road, Holden Hill SA 5088 and we have recently added a cafe to our business.

About the role
Nonna’s Cucina is seeking an experienced Full-Time Chef to join our talented team. As a member of our close-knit kitchen, you will play a pivotal role in delivering authentic, high-quality Italian dishes for our cafe.

An understanding of mass food production is also beneficial for this role, as you may be required to assist in meal production for our daily meals.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of Italian dishes from our renowned menu
• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
• Collaborating with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and specials
• Assisting with kitchen organisation and inventory management
• Contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment

What we’re looking for

• Formal culinary training or qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
• Passion for creating high-quality, authentic Italian dishes
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Weekend availability
