2025 will be a big year for our Aurora team, so we are looking for new dynamic chefs to join us!

Aurora Restaurant provides world-class award-winning dining, led by Executive Chef Robin Wagner. Aurora offers a la carte and tasting menus that celebrate culinary excellence and in 2024 we were awarded best “Premium Dining” for Aurora Restaurant and “Events Caterer” for ILA in the Restaurant & Catering Awards.

The Aurora team delivers the new, unique dining experience The Immersive Table, where LED screens and foregrounding effects transport diners to new spaces and places. Aurora also caters for private dining plus functions and events throughout ILA, including The Light Room Bar.

About the roles

Aurora aims to be an incubator for the next generation of emerging Chefs. We are looking for chefs who want to learn and join an organisation that offers enormous opportunities for career enhancement and mentorship, specifically in these roles:

• Pastry Chef
• CDP and Demi CDP

About ILA

ILA is Adelaide’s centre for immersive light and art, a non-profit organisation where creativity, technology and hospitality blend to deliver breathtaking and innovative immersive experiences. Located on Light Square in the CBD, ILA houses the Aurora Restaurant, The Lab Bar (a multi-genre venue surrounded by LED screens), an outdoor beer garden, and the Level 1 Light Room Bar, Gallery and Studio featuring 150sqm of immersive screens.

About you:

• Previous experience in a kitchen brigade or similar environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable individual willing to work as part of a kitchen team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, organised, and well presented at all times.
• Trade qualified.

Applicants must be available to work weekends and nights and have the right to work in Australia (we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time).
