The Organisation
Adelaide Venue Management Corporation, operator of three of Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful event venues – the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC) and Coopers Stadium (CS) – currently has opportunities available for Event Cleaners for the Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for enthusiastic, focused individuals to join the Cleaning department at the Adelaide Convention Centre. You will work both independently and as part of a team, thriving in a fast-paced environment where your efforts contribute to making our events and functions come to life.
What will you be doing
- Ensuring all internal areas are cleaned to a high standard, including offices, halls, event spaces, bathrooms, back of house areas.
- Ensuring all equipment / chemical resources are handled as per safe operating procedures
- Ensuring all storage areas are maintained in a tidy and safe condition
What you will bring to AVM
- Self-motivated, with a willingness to learn all aspects of a large operation
- Punctual and reliable
- Flexible in approach with the ability to assist others as required
- Strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
- Good availability and flexibility over a 7-day roster, working days, nights and weekends is paramount.
Desirable but not essential
- Experience in Event and Venue Cleaning
- Experience with cleaning machinery including floor polishers, ride on vacuums/sweepers, high pressure washers etc
Culture & Benefits
- Excellent hourly rate commencing at $36.63 per hour – moving to $38.23 after 50 hours, plus penalties and superannuation.
