We are seeking friendly, energetic individuals who are looking for a rewarding role as an entry-level Community Support Worker.
It is the perfect second or student job where you can work as many hours as you want per week.
Hours range from 2-20 hours a week depending on your availability and preferences, shifts are 2-4 hours on average.
Our clients need reliable and consistent support workers. You must be available at least 3 days on an ongoing basis. Our clients require reliable and consistent support each week.

We support adults and young people with disability, older people and those who just need some help around the house, or out-and-about, or even on holidays. We provide social support and therapy assistance for mental health recovery as well.

Duties Include:
Providing social support to people with disabilities and people recovering from mental health issues
Assist people with physical and psycho-social disabilities to remain independent in their own homes
Assisting with light housework, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen, bathroom
Some personal care including helping people shower, getting dressed and performing daily activities, laundry etc.
Running errands and helping people with daily life tasks
Occasionally provide therapy assistance to support the implementation of physical, speech, OT and psychological plans and strategies (as directed by their allied health teams)
Assist people to get out and about in the community
Assist people to get to and from appointments, fill in forms and apply for other supports like social housing, employment or other entitlements
Hanging out and making plans to try new things.
Help with cooking and doing dishes, planning meals, groceries
Keeping clients company providing positive social support and building confidence
Reviewing and updating care support plans

The team is led by qualified mental health professionals who offer training, support and team meetings throughout your employment with us. Unlike other service providers and online platforms, we won’t send you anywhere without a proper risk assessment and careful matching with customers.
We take your work, health and safety seriously, we provide regular face-to-face support and check-in phone calls to make sure you are well supported.
MANDATORY Requirements (must have or commence process before applying):
A minimum of a Certificate III or IV in Community Services (or similar) is essential
NDIS Worker Check
A current 1st Aid Certificate & CPR
Own reliable vehicle or access to a vehicle to drive clients places and run errands
NDIS Supporting Effective Communication and Worker Orientation Modules (Online)
Excellent communication skills
Full drivers license
Reliable, responsible attitude towards work (available at least 3 days each week/2 weekdays and weekend)
Access to the internet for rosters and client reporting
Desirable:
Lived experience of disability or mental health
Qualifications or studying towards Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Speech and Allied Health Assistants, or Community Services.
Knowledge of and commitment to working in a person-centred recovery-oriented approach
The ability to remain calm in a crisis and respond appropriately
Ability to relate to a range of people from different cultures and backgrounds
