• Minimum 2-hour shifts

About the Role:

• Provide assistance to each participant as per their support plans.

• Provide assistance to participants in accessing appointments in activities in the community.

• Provide Person-Centered Active Support.

• Provide transport in your own vehicle.

• Perform household and cleaning duties.

• Assisting participants in meal preparation following safety guidelines.

• Complete progress notes after each shift with participants.

• Assist participants in reaching their goals using initiative and creativity.

• Participate in performance development meetings and online training.

• Report any quality and safety incident and complete incident report as required.

Considerations:

• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.

• Outgoing, engaging, enthusiastic and caring personality.

• Have experience in engaging, building, and maintaining relationships with participants and their families.

• Exceptional communication skills, with very good English-speaking skills.

• Bring a positive attitude and proactive attitude in your practice.

• Have a reliable vehicle, driver’s license, and comprehensive insurance.

• Flexibility on work across the weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Must Haves:

• Team player

  • Experience with participants living with mental health

• Passive Overnights a requirement of the position.

• Experience with complex care clients.

• Certificate III in Disability Support (or equivalent)

• NDIS Worker Screener

• Working with Children Check

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

• Proof of Covid 19 Vaccination

• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module

• Manual Handling Certification

• Assist with Medications

• Clear Police Check

• Right to Work in Australia

The ability to communicate clearly in the English language a must.
