General

  • Develops strong personal and professional relationships with management, employees, participants, parents and additional stake holders involved in program provision
  • Assists in maintaining and developing the culture and professionalism in all employees providing positive role modelling and professional support
  • Ensure regular daily duties are completed by all and completing specific tasks as they arise.
  • Establish, maintain and build relationships with participants and their carers

Operational

  • Interacts with co-workers, work placements, participants and other stakeholders in a professional manner, conduct verbal handovers without fail
  • Conducts structured developmental activities using lesson plans and resources
  • Enhances the program delivery by modifying the delivery to suit the needs of the participant
  • Provide personal care, medication and emergency care to participants
  • Monitor the well being and safety of participants, report care concerns to the coordinators
  • Report all incidents where restrictive practices have been used (i.e. PRN, Physical restraint)
  • Advise work placements of participant needs and strategies
  • Contribute feedback to group facilitators new or updated participant needs, goals

Criteria Essential:

  • Valid Drivers License, ability to drive a manual vehicle
  • Current Working with Children Check, South Australian
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening, National
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Current Manual Handling certification
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module

Criteria desirable:

  • Current Medication Administration certification
  • Covid Infection Control certification
  • Child Safe Environments certification
  • Food Safe Handling certification
  • MAPA/CPI Safety Interventions Certification
