About the role:

We are seeking dedicated and experienced support workers to cover shifts for a high-intensity nonverbal client across a 24/7 roster. Responsibilities include providing full personal care across all aspects of daily living, assisting with two-person transfers and domestic duties. Ideal candidates will have experience in gastrostomy, oxygen therapy, epilepsy, and performing oral suction. If you have the necessary skills and a compassionate approach, we would love to hear from you. If you do not have the training but feel you would be a good fit, you are still welcome to apply as training can be provided.

Requirements for the role:

  • NDIS Worker Clearance 
  • Provide First Aid HLTAID011 or HLTAID012 (face to face)
  • Manual Handling – in relation to caring for people in the community (face to face)
  • A Driver’s Licence and your own clean and road worthy car
  • Good communication and ability to leave client notes via app
  • Experience with personal care
  • Experience providing high intensity supports
  • Medication training (face to face)
  • Epilepsy training (face to face)
  • PEG feeding training (face to face)
  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Individual Support (disability), Community Services, Mental Health, or other relevant qualification

Due to the support needs of the clients, you must be available and willing to work a varied pattern of shifts across a 24/7 roster (including short notice, short shifts, night/overnights, weekends, and public holidays) to be considered for the role.
