We are looking for vibrant, energetic, confident FEMALE disability support mentors to support a client in the Southern Suburbs.

More about the actual role:
Your role is to support people with disability to go about their daily lives in the way they want by giving the support they need when they need it. Support will include:
- cooking – everybody deserves to eat well so we’re looking for good cooks
- cleaning and household chores – yes, this is most definitely a part of the job
- gardening – that weeding has to get done but maybe plant some flowers or grow some veggies while you are at it
- personal care and complex bowel care– an intimate service that needs to be provided in a dignified way
- emotional support – because sometimes the world can be a scary place
- getting out and about – more than just coffee, appointments and shopping although this needs to be done too
- transport – which may be your vehicle or a specialist access vehicle

What we need from you:
- Current Disability Screening (DHS or NDIS worker Screening)
- Current Working with Children check for employment purposes
- Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
- Medication Management certification
- Australian Drivers Licence and clean, roadworthy vehicle for transporting clients
- Good English language skills for both verbal and written communication
- Attention to detail to follow documented plans and for reporting/record-keeping
- An ability to develop positive relationship whilst maintaining strong professional boundaries
Successful candidates will be required to clear all relevant probity clearances which include a Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Previous experience working with and supporting people with complex intellectual disabilities and behaviours will be advantageous
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply
