Due to an increased demand for our services,  we are recruiting Casual Female Support Workers across multiple services in Northern Adelaide.

Your role:

We always aim to find the right support worker for our valued participants . It means that we will try to find someone who needs your skills to be ideally supported to achieve their desired goals. This will enable you to create a friendly and successful relationship with your participant.

You will provide care to participants living in their homes,  in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life by interacting with them, completing activities that may include but are not limited to:

  • Personal care, Assistance with daily living which can include meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing.
  • Providing care following the Participant’s individualised Care Plan and Mealtime Management Plan
  • Supporting with community-based recreational and social activities.
  • Promote independence in day-to-day life
  • Provide required support for people in the home or in the community
  • Maximise our participants’ physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide services as listed in the Individual Participant Support Plans and document case notes.
  • Must be comfortable with participants’ pets and the care around them

All service delivery must be in line with the Policies and Procedures of Attentive Care and the requirements of NDIS Practice Standards. By showing commitment and dedication, you are destined to succeed in your career at Attentive Care.

Suitable Candidates needs to have:

  • Certificate III in Disability / Certificate IV in Disability and Previous experience in working with People with Disabilities
  • Australian Citizenship certificate / Passport and Visa status
  • Current Australian drivers’ licence.
  • Certificate in  Manual Handling
  • Current working with childrens check
  • Current Certificate in First Aid and CPR
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Covid-19 Vaccinated
  • Infection Control COVID-19 Training
  • NDIS Workers Orientation
  • Basic Continence Care and Infection Control
  • Assist with Medication theory and practical training
  • Have a good understanding of person-centred practice.
  • Have working entitlements to work within Australia.
  • Experience and knowledge of disability, mental health and/or positive behaviour support.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
  • Respect of others’ dignity and choices
  • Reliable Car with a comprehensive car insurance and current car service history
