About the role
An opportunity for Support Workers to have steady and reliable work starting at 15 hours/week and increasing up to 38 hours/week for the right person, supporting people with a Disability living in their own homes and assisting them in the community.
Must be able and willing to provide:
- Personal care – showering, toileting, dressing, general hygiene and grooming assistance.
- Domestic assistance – general tidying, meal preparation, reporting maintenance needs.
- Community access – Transport to and from medical/therapy appointments, advocacy, social access, participation in activities that express personal interests.
- Activities of daily living – therapy led activities, hobbies, advocacy.
About you
- Flexible availability across morning, evenings, overnights and weekends.
- Experience and confidence in providing safe manual handling, assisted transfers with use of equipment.
- An approachable personality that keeps things light and fun, while maintaining a client-centred focus.
- Ability to think creatively, take ownership and follow through with activities that benefit and positively stimulate client interests.
- Own car and driver’s license.
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain).
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain).
- Working with Children Clearance (or willing to obtain).
- Desired: Experienced in Mental Health supports and advocacy
