Join Our Team as a Disability Support Worker– Make a Difference in Someone’s Life
As a Disability Support Workers, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being, independence, and dignity of those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
· Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming) while ensuring comfort and privacy. Make sure to follow everything under defined care plans based on residents’ specific needs with a view to improve their quality of life.
· Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
· Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
· Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to foster social interaction and mental well-being.
· Health Monitoring: Report any changes in health or behaviour to the office team.
· Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments or social events.
· Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns.
What You Bring:
· Certificate in individual support (Disability/Aged care)
· 1 year or more experience is desirable
· Being bilingual is also desirable but not necessary
· Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
· Empathy, patience, and respect for the individuality of those you care for
· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with care teams
· Understanding of aged care and disability issues
· The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required).
· A current National Police Records Check, dated within the last 3 months (or willingness to apply).
· A Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply).
· A NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply).
· A current SA driver’s license and reliable Vehicle
· Minimum of 2 doses COVID 19 Vaccine

Location: Modbury-Northern Suburbs
Employment – Full time 37.5 hours
Pay- $75,000-$80,000+ Super Per year
Schedule- 8 Hours Shift
