About the role
As an Unlocking Futures Disability Support Worker, you will be engaged across multiple settings to provide and facilitate safe, responsive disability care and support for our clients living with disabilities in their homes and other community- based settings. This role will involve implementing care plans, on various levels of care support activities. We are seeking Disability Support workers specifically in the Inner Southern, Eastern and North Eastern Adelaide metro areas. The ideal candidate will excel in caring for individuals living with a disability with varying support needs to enhance physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
Duties and responsibilities of a Support Worker are unique and varied because those we support have unique needs. Tasks may include assistance in mobility, personal care and accessing the community. Whilst this can be a diverse role, the focus is always on supporting a person to lead a fulfilling and more independent life.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential for the role:
- Minimum Cert III in a related qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience working with clients with physical disabilities, hoisting and transfers
- Knowledge and competency in enteral feeding, medication and dysphagia management
- Mealtime preparation and Delivery
- Training and experience with high intensity clinical supports
- Hold a current and valid full South Australian driver licence
- Excellent communication and cultural sensitivity
- Working knowledge of digital rostering and CRM systems

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance – (current)
