We are currently looking for experienced and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team and assist individuals in achieving their personal goals.
Job Role:
As an Experienced Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with a variety of physical, emotional, and mental health needs. Your primary responsibility will be to help our clients live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered support to individuals with diverse needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and mental health challenges.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Develop and implement care plans to meet the individual needs of clients.
- Promote independence and empower individuals to make their own choices.
- Support clients to access community resources and engage in social and recreational activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health or behaviour to the relevant professionals.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and compassionate environment.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures, safeguarding policies, and confidentiality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a support worker or a care assistant role.
- First Aid
- NDIS Clearance
- Driver’s License and car.
- Police Check
- WWCC
- Covid Vaccinations
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Understanding of mental health, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and situations.
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping others.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and report effectively.
