Job Description:

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide support to people with disabilities in their daily lives, including personal care, household tasks, and community participation. You will work closely with clients to build positive relationships and promote their independence and well-being. 10-15 full-time positions will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Provide support with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Assist clients in accessing the community and participating in social and recreational activities.
  • Administer medication and provide basic first aid when required.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other service providers to develop and implement individual support plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a related qualification is preferred
  • Previous experience working in a disability support role is highly desirable
  • A caring and empathetic approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
