Hotel Grand Chancellor, Adelaide is seeking lively, enthusiastic, welcoming and energetic Casual Food and Beverage Attendants to join our team, working primarily within the bar.

What we are looking for:

  • A person who is confident in their bartending skills, able to think on their feet and knows their products well
  • A reliable team member who is committed to increasing in both the dollars over the bar but the overall satisfaction rating
  • Your knowledge, experience and standard of service is vital to this role
  • Ability to promote menu items to our guests and ascertain their preferences, and produce items to match their requirements are key.
  • A person with ambition and passion for going above and beyond

Here is what you will be responsible for:

  • Knowledge in classic drinks, cocktails and wines and ability to create new beverages to attract guests
  • Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and accurately taking orders
  • Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials
  • Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
  • Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing rubbish, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment

Minimum requirements:

  • Must have RSA & RP
  • Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol
  • Able to work over a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays primarily between 3.00pm and 11.00 pm
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience working in bar setting including making cocktails
  • High attention to detail

This is a casual position with a variety of responsibilities as well as other great perks to the right person.
