We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to work in our kitchen on a casual basis to work over a 7-day roster.

The Kitchen Hand assists with the provision of food services for inpatient, Consultants and staff, whilst ensuring compliance to the Food Safety Guidelines and Cleaning Standards.

About the Role:

This is a casual position, working approximately 10-20 hours / fortnight, including weekend work, with the number of shifts dependent on Hospital activity.

Your shift duties will be food preparation, plating up, delivery of inpatient meals and clearing of trays, loading and unloading industrial dishwashers, general cleaning of the kitchens and other duties consistent with industry requirements.

You will be carrying out manual handling tasks and following Worker Health and Safety protocols.

About You:

  • Experience as a Kitchen Hand or with food preparation is preferable but not essential.
  • Food Safe Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Available Saturday – Sunday.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive approach.
  • Current National Police Check will be required if successful, along with meeting Immunisation requirements in-line with our Policy.
