Role Overview

As a Personal Care Worker at Kalyra, your role involves fostering independence through empowerment and offering continual support in daily living tasks. Each day brings unique challenges, and your contributions significantly impact and improve the lives of those under our care.

Your duties involve, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting clients in maintaining personal hygiene and dressing
  • Executing general cleaning responsibilities
  • Facilitating meal consumption assistance
  • Conducting physical exercises in tandem with clients
  • Adhering to strict health and safety protocols
  • Accompanying clients to appointments while providing social support
  • Diligently documenting and communicating with fellow healthcare professionals

This role is based in McLaren Vale with multiple permanent part-time positions available. To join the team, you must be available to work 6 or more shifts a fortnight.
A range of shifts are available with AM shifts commencing at 0700, PM commencing from 1500 and night shift from 2300 – 0700.

About the Person

Apart from being a caring, empathetic, and compassionate person, we ask that you have the following:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
  • NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain one
  • First Aid Certificate
  • 3 x covid vaccinations
  • Influenza 2024 vaccination
