About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Carer to provide high-quality care and support for elderly and disabled individuals in a home or residential care setting. This role is vital in helping clients maintain their dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Supporting clients with mobility, including transferring between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
• Preparing and serving meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Administering medications as directed and monitoring health conditions.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
• Assisting clients with physical activities and recreational pursuits to enhance quality of life.
• Observing and reporting any changes in clients’ physical or emotional health to the appropriate professional.
• Supporting clients with transportation to medical appointments, shopping, or social activities.
• Assisting in the use of mobility aids and specialised equipment as required.

Skills and Experience Required

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Disability, or equivalent).
• Previous experience in providing personal care to elderly or disabled individuals is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to caregiving.
• Ability to follow care plans and work under minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of manual handling and infection control procedures.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screen Check

Special Requirements

• Flexible availability, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts if required.
• A valid Full Australian driver’s license and access to reliable transport is preferred.
• Language proficiency in [e.g Mandarin/Cantonese] is an advantage (if applicable).
