Sourced from: www.seek.com.au

At Developing Minds Psychology, our clinical (23 psychologists) and admin (5 receptionists, practice manager and practice administrator) teams work together to support children and teens with mental health and life challenges – at both our Wayville and Aberfoyle Park clinics.

We have an opportunity available for a part time receptionist/front office professional to join our admin team (working across both clinic locations).

What will you be doing day to day?

Providing information and education to new clients about our services (including funding models and appointment/therapy information)
Making and rescheduling appointments for current clients
Managing and filling the diaries of 23 psychologists
Managing hard copy files
Supporting clinicians with letters, files and other administrative needs
Taking payments and providing rebates
Providing a friendly and caring service to all clients and families in our very busy (and sometimes boisterous!) waiting rooms

Who will you be working alongside?

A team of amazing, funny and very skillful receptionists – your peers and teammates
Our brilliant, caring and grateful clinicians
Our awesome Practice Manager – your boss- who is supportive, kind and encouraging

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience dealing with people in an administration capacity
Has a friendly, confident, empathic and kind attitude towards people – and especially children, teens and families
Is able to work quickly (small kids are not always great at being patient while parents make appointments!), manage competing demands and at times be a fast problem solver (when something goes wrong, everything goes wrong!)
Has high level team communication skills – all of our people speak positively, accurately and kindly towards each other – having a “no drama” workplace is very important to us!
Excellent computer literacy (including keyboarding skills, IT problem solving, use of all Microsoft programs).

Work hours:

We are keen to know what you are looking for as there is some variation in what might be offered and possible over time depending on your – and our – needs.
As a rough guide, we may be looking for 3 to 4 days per week initially and this may change over the coming months (as we manage maternity and other leave). There may be an option to reduce this if you are looking for less after 6 months.
We operate in two shifts of approximately 5 to 7 hours, with the earlier shift starting at 8.30, and the later shift starting between 10.30 to 12noon (latest finishing time is 7pm).  All of our admin team do at least one “later finish” per week (ie 6.30 to 7pm).
We would love someone who is flexible to fill in for sick and holiday leave if possible
We are open to either a permanent part time or casual role

Benefits of working with us:

A management team who truly value their team
Sense of meaning – feel as though you are contributing to family well-being
Be appreciated for what you do – we try to see all the little things!
An interesting and varied work role – every family is different
Gain exposure to and understanding of a child mental health clinic
