About the role

This is a part-time school cleaner role based in St Marys, SA 5042. As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentability. This is an important role in supporting the overall operation and positive environment of the school.

What you’ll be doing

1. Cleaning classrooms, offices, and communal areas to a high standard
2. Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning supplies
3. Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
4. Mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors
5. Wiping down surfaces and removing dirt and grime
6. Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns
7. Adhering to all health and safety practices and procedures

What we’re looking for

1. Previous experience in a cleaning or custodial role, ideally in an educational setting but not necessary as full training will be provided
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
4. Good time management and organisational skills
5. Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks
6. Familiarity with the use of cleaning equipment and supplies
7. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
