The Strathmore Hotel will soon complete a stunning 11 month transformation with all hotel areas upgraded.

This long established family business, located opposite the Sky City Casino and Convention Centre and an easy 5 minute walk to the Adelaide Oval and Riverbank is quite literally in the heart of the action.

Our renovation sees improvements to our 90 seat Cafe One Two Nine and Garden Bar along with the building of Verandah Bar and Dining, the ultimate indoor/ outdoor entertainment space.

The hotel runs two kitchens, working in conjunction with each other. We are seeking a passionate, motivated and ambitious Sous Chef to help lead our ground floor kitchen team. This is a hands on cooking role, with the successful applicant capable of producing high quality food in a timely and cost conscious manner.

We are seeking an Industry professional who is

  • Trade Qualified
  • Absolutely passionate about food
  • A hands on operator
  • Able to maintain food and wage costs within budget expectations
  • Able to produce high volume meals
  • Able to assist  in the designing of innovative menus
  • Across current food trends and customer expectations
  • Able to assist in the training of staff
  • A good communicator who can add to the hotel’s can-do culture.
