This non-accredited refresher course is designed to revisit and reinforce essential manual handling skills and knowledge for healthcare workers.
It focuses on safe work practices when directly caring for clients in health, nursing, aged care, and home care settings.
The course places importance on maintaining the worker’s safety, supporting the client’s well-being, and provides participants with a certificate of attendance upon completion.

Upon successful completion, students will have a thorough understanding of:
- postures for safe manual handling
- the correct use of walking aids
- correctly rolling an individual
Additionally the practical session will focus:
- use of a sling lifter
- use of a stand lifter
- correct use of a slide sheet
Students successfully completing this training will be issued with a statement of attendance

- Course duration – 5 hours face-to-face (students must be dressed appropriately with closed in shoes and pants)
Training will include a mix of theory are practical observation.
