Empowering Future Health and Care Professionals
In March, Local Jobs program Can Care was launched in Salisbury, marking a significant milestone in local job creation and career development. This innovative program provided participants with a valuable preview of careers in the health and caring industries, enabling them to connect with employers and industry experts while accessing numerous employment opportunities.
Looking ahead, Can Care will roll out in Mount Barker in July and continue to operate across Adelaide’s North and South until June 2025. This program offers an exceptional opportunity to gain new skills, connect with reputable employers and make new friends along the way.
Building on the success of the Salisbury launch, the program was rolled out in April at our Clarence Gardens site in the South. The participants demonstrated a keen enthusiasm for understanding the care field. They particularly appreciated the practical sessions, which introduced them to essential equipment used in care settings and unique skill-building activities, such as shaving a balloon to meet personal support needs.
