Finding Confidence Through Study

Finding Confidence Through Study– Ayiesha’s Experience

Returning to study can be daunting—especially as a single parent. For one Certificate III in Community Services student, Ayiesha, taking that first step has led to personal growth and renewed confidence.

“Studying is something I have procrastinated on,” Ayiesha shares. “I haven’t studied since high school and was worried about my capability to comprehend and learn again, as well as being able to balance study whilst maintaining structure in my daily life as a sole parent.”

Despite those fears, the experience studying a Certificate III in Community Services has been overwhelmingly positive. “The trainers are all amazing, and each have very unique ways of delivering information to the class. There’s a lot of group discussion, and everyone comes from such different walks of life so being able to discuss our experiences on certain topics is quite amazing and insightful.”

The welcoming and supportive environment has made all the difference. “There is always someone willing to help if you’re struggling with a certain topic or question, which is very reassuring.”

“I have gained and learnt so much and truly believe that I have grown as an individual each and every week, meeting different people, and learning again,” Ayiesha adds. “It has been a massive step for me, gaining confidence and being able to speak amongst numerous people, in a safe and non-judgemental space.”

Now, with newfound confidence, Ayiesha encourages others to take the leap: “You have nothing to lose, only gain—and before you know it, you will be certified in something that you’re passionate about.”
