HITsa Trainer Completes Dementia Training
HITsa delivers CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) across our Salisbury and Clarence Gardens sites.
To ensure that we are delivering the most up to date training relevant to industry, HITsa Trainers regularly complete professional development in their field.
We recognise the importance of personal carers having a good understanding of Dementia to support our ageing community.
Most recently, our trainers completed Enhancing Emotional Wellbeing in Dementia. This training included:
Wellbeing changes in dementia, Intimacy and sexuality in dementia, Suicidal ideation and escalation of concerns, Communication, engagement and sentence structure, Transition points and adjustment difficulties, Practical daily skills, Advice for families; Self-care, reduction of burnout and compassion fatigue.
