How HITsa’s Wellbeing Team Helps Students Succeed

At HITsa, we believe that every student deserves the support they need to succeed—no matter the challenges they face. One of our students recently shared her inspiring journey, highlighting how our Wellbeing Team helped her overcome obstacles and achieve her goals.

A Positive Start

“My experience with HITsa has been very positive,” the student shared. “I really enjoyed the theory classes—the environment, class arrangements, and trainers were excellent. At first, I was nervous about attending the classes, but I quickly grew to enjoy them.”

With the support of her trainers and classmates, the student successfully completed her theory classes and moved on to her work placement.

Overcoming Challenges

During her placement, the student faced unexpected challenges and felt overwhelmed. “I wasn’t able to complete my hours at first and felt like I was breaking down,” she explained.

When I was struggling, HITsa’s Business Manager, Sarah, recognised my challenges and referred me to the Wellbeing Team for additional support. Robel, a member of the team, provided not only practical guidance but also emotional support that made a real difference. He developed a tailored wellbeing plan for me, including a communication strategy with childcare phrases and resources to help me navigate the childcare setting. With his mentoring and encouragement, my confidence grew, and I was able to successfully complete my placement.

A Team Effort

The student also received support from another Wellbeing team member Shane and Natasha, her trainer, who worked closely with her to ensure she stayed on track. “Together, we worked as a team to help me finish my placement,” the student said.

A Successful Outcome

With the combined efforts of the Wellbeing Team, Trainers, Business Managers, and the Work Placement team, the student achieved her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. “Thank you to everyone at HITsa for your support!”
