Kitchen update – what has Chef been up to? – draft OM

What has Chef been up to?

It has been full steam ahead in the kitchen with Chef David during February and March.

We have kicked off the year with our last two Chef for Life courses.

The students have been fantastic and our final group worked hard to produce some fabulous dishes during their 3 week course as well as gain skills, confidence and a desire to pursue work within a kitchen environment.

Look at what these students have produced, remembering that none of them have had any prior cookery experience!

Our apprentices are back on deck and loving the new CBD kitchen which provides them with a fantastic learning space and lots of room.

Dessert Making kicked off the year and our waists have expanded with the sampling of delights including sticky date pudding, blackberry pie, and poached pears.

With cookery skills being a recognised shortage and jobs aplenty, why not look at kick starting your career with one of our courses –

  • Basic Skills for the food industry
  • SIT20421 Certificate II in Cookery

Both courses are funded by the Government (eligibility criteria applies) and our training is centrally located in the Adelaide CBD.
