Last cookery program for 2025 – OM

As the year rolls on HITsa has the last Cookery Skill Set open for enrolment and commences on 23 September 2025.

Chef David runs this course from our Gouger Street commercial kitchen over a three week period. David has more than 30 years experience within the sector and is currently working in industry so you can be sure that the skills you gain from this training will be up to industry standard.

This course is perfect for someone looking at employment options and not quite sure if the kitchen is the right fit for you.

Over a three week period you will learn kitchen basics including

• Hygiene practices and safe food handling practices
• Use food preparation equipment
• Participate in safe work practices
• Prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery

All of these units form part of the Certificate II and III in Cookery and will only cost $70 if you meet the State Government eligibility criteria.

With the warmer weather on its way there will be a huge surge of job vacancies over the coming months……

And the best bit – you get to eat all the amazing food you prepare…….
