Prepare and SERVE Espresso Coffee

Prepare and SERVE Espresso Coffee

You may not be aware, but as part of the Prepare and Service Espresso Coffee course that we run, participants are required to approach staff and other students to take their coffee orders. The students then prepare the coffee and serve it to their customers. The customers provide written feedback to the students about their coffee. Some of the feedback received from the most recent class includes:

“Beautiful coffee, lovely manners; spot on both times”

“It was very very yum”

“Delicious, Danny was very kind and careful. The foam was amazing, perfect amount!”

“Just perfect! Thanks”

“Nice flavour. Good coffee.”

“Not too strong; high lift on the froth; loved it”

“Presentation looks amazing”

“Good presentation and taste very good. Good job. Well done.”

Receiving encouragement and feedback is an important part of preparing and serving coffee as the students get immediate information that they can use to improve their barista skills. The feedback also allows the trainer to evaluate and, if necessary, adapt or change strategies to ensure they are meeting the learning needs of their students.
