The T-shirt tells the story

To say trainer Nicole enjoys her job is an understatement. Her passion and desire to see students succeed at every corner is never questioned.

Nicole is pictured here with "Go Hospo" students on their last day of training at Salisbury. These students have loved training and presented her with this T-shirt as a parting gift - proudly worn by Nicole.

As they say a picture can tell a story and this is most certainly the case.

Guest Speaker and Student in Class

The Future is looking Bright @ Trinity College

HITsa now offers the qualification BSB30220 Certificate III Business and Entrepreneurship.

A group of Trinity students from Year 10-12 with business minds and a path for their future aspirations recently started this qualification with HITsa.

HITsa delivers training each week at the college, equipping these entrepreneurs with tools to direct them on the right path.

Guest speaker Jaxon P started his brand as a gift for his partner overseas. The group were keen to hear from a young person who started his business from the ground up and to hear how his ideas came together and what road blocks he has faced.

The students are a keen and passionate group with budding Real Estate agents, Artists and Dentists among them.

VET with Cabra Dominican College

Cabra Dominican College students have become masters of coffee making, training at HITsa Clarence Gardens during March.

The students gained the accredited units "Hygiene Practices for Food Safety" and "Prepare and serve Espresso Coffee", accumulating points toward their SACE through stackable VET, as well as gaining employment ready skills.

The students had the following to say about their experience:

The prepare and serve espresso coffee course run through HITsa, is a great short course where the class and I were able to gain irreplaceable life skills and a useful qualification to help us for any further employment. Over the three days I learnt many important skills that I will now have for life, I learnt the importance of good hygiene, WHS, and of course the practical component on learning how to make coffees. A big thank you to Nicole and all the staff who helped us gain our qualifications, who helped us along the way, making the course fun and enjoyable, teaching us the skills we now have. we couldn’t have done it without them.” Grace M

“ I enjoyed this course because I finally learnt how to make good hot drinks. The trainers really helped me.” Saara, Year 12

“I just want to start my own coffee business right now. I really enjoyed making the coffees.” Noah, Year 12

“The HITsa Barista Course was a very informative experience with interactive staff who seem like they genuinely wanted people to pass. It was informative and clear on the steps needed to complete the course. The staff pointed out our strengths and weaknesses and told us how to correct them.” Matthew, Year 12

“Learning to become a barista opened potential career paths, that has really helped those who don't know what to do after school, as we are in our final year. We learned about coffee inside and out – from growing the beans to serving coffee aesthetically pleasingly. HITSA made it fun, enjoyable, informative, and most importantly not boring.” Ben, Year 12

“I enjoyed doing the barista course as I learned to work with new equipment. I learnt new skills and gained knowledge in an industry I am familiar with. I learnt how to make black and white coffee while becoming more efficient” Rio, Year 12
