Alliance Community are a NDIS registered service provider specialising in delivering quality, individualised and flexible support services to the elderly, clients requiring psychosocial supports, children and young people and those with a physical or intellectual disability. We provide a broad range of services to clients inside and outside the NDIS.
We’re looking for experienced Support Workers to work with a 24/7 client located in the City of Marion. The ideal Support Worker will be seeking stable and consistent work, happy to work with a flexible availability, available to do Active/ Passive overnight shifts and at minimum can commit to work 3+ shifts a week for this client.
You must also like animals (In particular dogs!)
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or higher
- National Criminal Police Check
- NDIS Workers Check
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Manual Handling certificate
- 3x Covid Vaccinations
In addition you will require some client specific training which Alliance will support you to undertake. However you must demonstrate knowledge in:
- Dysphagia management plans
- Medication Administration
- Hoist and transfers
- Diabetes
Tasks & responsibilities
- Support the development of daily living skills and capacity for self-care
- Domestic general household cleaning
- Providing timely and accurate case notes
- Develop professional relationships with individuals, their families and others in the community
- Manage challenging behaviours should this arise
- Provide support to work towards individual goals
- Assist and monitor medications
