Purpose of the role

This is a permanent part time night-shift position with one of our Blue Chip Clients within FMCG Food industry.

The main purpose of this role is to verify processing equipment is visually clean following sanitation services and to provide the confidence for a satisfactory hand over of plant equipment to production.

Shift Times will be:

3:00am – 7:00am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and

11.00pm – 3.00am Sunday


This Sanitation Cleaning QC Officer is accountable for the following:

  • Production Pre-Operational Checks
  • Initiate any corrective actions to ensure equipment/ surfaces are re-cleaned prior to start-up (where necessary).
  • Verify that the re-cleaned areas are satisfactory and all details of corrective actions are recorded on the appropriate Hygiene and Maintenance Documentation.
  • Complete protein swabs on product contact surfaces to confirm efficacy of cleans.
  • Arrange for the equipment and area to be sanitised once checked.
  • Complete Hygiene Swabs and Record results.
  • Collect process water samples.
  • Ensure documentation associated with the Food Safety System and corresponding processes is filled out correctly.
  • Adhere to safe handling of chemicals procedure.
  • Follow the client’s food safety, hygiene, GMP procedures and policies.
  • Report any food safety non-conformance to Supervisors.
  • Consistently communicate with Supervisors/ Managers for daily duties, any errors found and for continuous improvement of the system.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards.


  • Previous experience working in food processing plants.
  • Must be physically fit
  • Must be able to provide a current National Police Check
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Have chemical handling awareness.
  • Available to work nights and minimal ad hoc overtime if required.
  • Available to work weekends or a rotational roster over 7 days.

Due to quarantine restrictions, we cannot accept applications from the following:

  • If you regularly come into contact with pigs or birds
  • If you have anyone living in the same residence as you, work in other poultry or pig operations

*This position is a night shift position. Applicants must be willing to only work nights.
